Tattoo Soaps

Tattoo artists typically recommend a green soap for tattoo aftercare.  What they really mean by saying purchase a green soap is not buy a bar soap that is colored green, but rather buy one that is 100% plant-based and lacking artificial fragrances, colorants, and otherwise.

That's why many tattoo artists recommend Castile Soap. Our line of Castile Soaps are made with 100% Organic Olive Oil. You can't get much greener than that. 

While unscented soaps are typically preferred for cleaning tattoos, some people enjoy the soothing aromatics of Eucalyptus or the invigorating nature of Peppermint.

Where people diverge in their choices is around the idea of buying an antibacterial soap for their fresh ink. It should be noted that Castile Soaps are not antibacterial as defined by the FDA. And that's ok, because even the FDA suggests using plain soap and water over antibacterial soaps.
